Uống Nước Nhớ Nguồn

Remember the source when drinking water.

In the program of rehabilitating a materialized world and bringing it back to God, Pope John Paul II still harbored the ambition to present to each class of people and, if possible, to each country, each region, one or several patron saints, one or several locally grown saints, familiar with the local culture and customs.

From above, saints of all skin colors and races, like the heavenly lamps shining down, like living mirrors, will call out, encourage, and boost modern humans to live a moral life worthy of being called children of God.

The file of 117 Vietnamese Martyrs is a treasure trove of the Vietnamese Church, inherently containing the essence of Christianity that has been propagated throughout the Vietnamese lands for over three centuries: Pure Faith, Solid Faith, Warm and Broad Faith of Vietnamese Ancestors. The 117 Martyrs are 117 separate glorious histories, none identical to another, except for one point: all died valiantly, bearing witness to the Faith.
